The INSPIRO BASIC unit offers a budget-friendly ventilation system with heat and moisture recovery. It is designed for indoor use in residential buildings, warehouses, workshops, storage areas and other service spaces. It can be paired with either a cellulose or a polyethylene exchanger.

TECHNICAL DATA

Galvanised steel casing and the inspection door

The INSPIRO BASIC ERV casing is made of galvanised steel. It includes practical mounting brackets for easy installation and plastic ducts adapted to standard ventilation pipe diameters. The inspection door provides convenient access to filters and the enthalpy heat exchanger.

POLY heat exchanger – polyethylene with graphene layer

The INSPIRO BASIC POLY cross-flow heat exchanger is made of a special polyethylene material with a graphene layer. The exchanger offers extended service life and can be cleaned using water and a neutral pH detergent.

The POLY and BASIC exchangers have the same performance.

Intelligent ERV control

The units are equipped with 3-speed AC fans and are operated via the BASIC control panel. Additionally, it is possible to set a weekly operating schedule for the ERV and to activate the air supply function in bypass mode (bypassing the heat exchanger).

After accumulating more than 1000 hours of operation, an alarm appears on the panel reminding the user to clean the G3 filter.

Filter sets for INSPIRO BASIC energy recovery units

Ensure effective and hygienic operation of your energy recovery unit with properly selected filters. We offer dedicated G3 pre-filters for every model of the INSPIRO BASIC energy recovery unit.

By default, the G3 pre-filter offers ISO coarse ≥ 50% protection, which is sufficient for most spaces.

Electric duct heater

To ensure maximum efficiency of the energy recovery ventilator, it is recommended to use an additional pre-heater with control. This is particularly important when the temperature drops below -9°C to prevent the heat exchanger from freezing, especially during the winter months.

The duct heater warms the air entering the unit, increasing the efficiency of energy recovery and reducing the risk of damage to the heat exchanger.

Which Enthalpy Exchanger to Choose: INSPIRO BASIC or POLY?

Our ERVs come with crossflow enthalpy exchangers available in two versions. They differ in material, performance characteristics, and durability.

Below you will find the most frequently asked questions about heat recovery units with an enthalpy exchanger.

1What does MVHR stand for?

MVHR is an abbreviation for Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery. It supplies and extracts air throughout a property, recovering heat from the exhaust air, improving the energy efficiency of a building.

2What is the difference between a cellulose enthalpy heat exchanger and a POLY enthalpy heat exchanger?

The POLY enthalpy exchanger is made of polyethylene material with a graphene layer - this makes it more durable compared to the cellulose equivalent.

The celulose exchanger can easily be recycled.

Both exchangers offer the same performance - the cellulose exchanger, however, can be easily recycled.

3Do enthalpy heat recovery units consume less electricity?

The type of heat exchanger in the MVHR system does not affect power consumption.

However, noticeable energy savings can be seen during winter. The heating costs of a building can be reduced thanks to efficient heat and moisture recovery.

In summer, the heat recovery system works differently. The unit's automation activates the bypass, so the supply air bypasses the heat exchanger, preventing the room from heating up.

4What does your electric duct heater do when the temperature drops below 0°C?

The duct heater, also known as the pre-heater, is equipped with a temperature sensor that can be freely adjusted. The sensor will automatically turn the duct heater on and off based on the set temperature. It is recommended to set the duct heater to activate when the outdoor temperature drops below -9°C to prevent the enthalpy exchanger from freezing.

5What enthalpy exchangers are available in Reventon’s ERVs?

For the INSPIRO and INSPIRO BASIC models:
A cellulose enthalpy exchanger is available – it is made of a special material that enables highly efficient heat and humidity recovery from the exhaust air. Thanks to the humidity recovery, in many cases additional humidifiers are no longer necessary.

For the INSPIRO POLY and INSPIRO BASIC POLY models:
An enthalpy exchanger made of a special polyethylene material with a graphene layer is available. It ensures highly efficient recovery of heat and humidity from the exhaust air. The POLY exchanger does not affect the unit's performance. It can be cleaned with water and a neutral pH detergent.

6Can a Wi-Fi module be installed in every heat recovery unit?

The additional Wi-Fi module can only be installed in the INSPIRO and INSPIRO POLY ERVs. The BASIC series does not support Wi-Fi modules, so it's worth considering in advance whether this function will be needed.

7Is a control panel included with the heat recovery unit?

Yes, every heat recovery unit comes with a basic control panel included. Additional accessories such as the Wi-Fi module, CO₂ sensor, and humidity sensor are only available with the INSPIRO and INSPIRO POLY models. This should be taken into consideration when choosing your unit.

If these features are not important to you, the BASIC version is perfectly suitable.
